The Plasencia story spans five generations of tobacco growing and cigar making. The family’s journey began in Cuba in the 19th century before political upheaval forced them to rebuild their tobacco business in Nicaragua and Honduras. Over decades the Plasencia family became one of the largest growers of premium cigar tobacco in Central America, supplying leaf to many well-known cigar brands.
After years focused primarily on farming and manufacturing for others, the family launched their own premium line under the Plasencia name. Produced using tobaccos grown on their own estates, the cigars reflect the family’s deep knowledge of cultivation, fermentation, and blending developed through more than 150 years in the tobacco industry.
