Rated No1 Cigar of the Year 2021 by Cigar Aficionado

Padrón 1964 Anniversary Torpedo was released to mark the company’s 30th anniversary, built around long-aged Nicaraguan tobacco and traditional box-pressing. It delivers cocoa, roasted coffee, earth, cedar and nutty notes. The torpedo shape sharpens the draw, keeping the flavours focused as they deepen gradually. Construction supports an even, unhurried burn, allowing the blend’s natural sweetness to sit quietly beneath the darker core. The finish is long and clean, resting on cocoa and coffee. It pairs naturally with espresso, strong black coffee, or a well-aged dark rum enjoyed neat.

Padrón Cigars:

Padrón Cigars was founded in 1964 by José Orlando Padrón, whose cigar-making roots began in Cuba, where his family first grew tobacco in the late 1800s. After the Cuban Revolution, Padrón fled to the United States in 1961, arriving in Miami with little money but decades of tobacco knowledge and a determination to rebuild. His early years were marked by hardship—working multiple jobs while rolling cigars at night to support his family and reunite them in America.

As the company grew, the Padrón family relocated production to Nicaragua, recognising its ideal climate and soil for growing rich, expressive tobacco. There, they committed to a philosophy of patience and total quality control—aging tobaccos extensively, producing in limited quantities, and rejecting shortcuts or mass-market pressures. This long-term vision led to the creation of some of the industry’s most celebrated cigars, including the 1964 Anniversary Series and 1926 Series, both released to mark major family milestones.
