La Galera is a Dominican cigar brand created by master blender Jochy Blanco, whose family has been involved in tobacco growing and cigar production for 5 unbroken generations. Prior to the La Galera brand, Tabacalera Palma (Jochy's factory) had made cigars for many other companies but didn’t have a name for itself. That all changed with Jochy Blanco’s brand, La Galera. The name translates to “the rolling room,” a reference to the factory floor where cigars are handcrafted.
