The H. Upmann Magnum 50 is a large robusto introduced in 2008 as part of the Magnum line, expanding a brand that dates back to 1844 when German banker Hermann Upmann founded the company in Havana. Rolled with tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, the cigar delivers a smooth and balanced profile. The smoke opens with cedar and cream, followed by toasted bread, light coffee, and subtle honey. Gentle earth and a touch of spice develop through the middle while the wide ring gauge produces a cool, steady draw. The finish remains smooth and rounded. It pairs naturally with espresso, aged rum, or a light Highland whisky.

H. Upmann:
H. Upmann was founded in Havana in 1844 by German banker Hermann Upmann. After arriving in Cuba to establish a banking business, he also began producing cigars, exporting them to Europe in cedar boxes that helped protect their quality during long sea journeys. The brand quickly gained recognition in international markets and earned numerous awards during the 19th century.
A notable fan of the brand was U.S. President John F. Kennedy, who famously stocked up on H. Upmann Petit Upmann cigars the night before signing the Cuban embargo in 1962—ordering a stash of 1,200 cigars.
